Ticket Stampede Exhausts Ticket Supply for Cameron Village Event
The Underground Experience, a one night special event access to the iconic music venue hidden under Cameron Village, has sold out. VIP and regular tickets sold out with hours of opening availability on etix.
Raleigh, NC, April 03, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Underground Experience at Cameron Village on Saturday, May 16, 2015 is a sellout. Tickets went on sale at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, April 1st and were sold out before 1 p.m.
The event will grant exclusive access to the Cameron Village Subway, closed since 1984. The underground, as it is commonly known, was the primary stopping point between New York and Atlanta for emerging artists during the heyday of rock and roll in the seventies and eighties. Fans who frequented the iconic music venue and younger fans who want to bring life to an experience that they know only as urban legend, scooped up the tickets in a buying frenzy this morning. Tickets to the one time only event were available through etix.
“We are thrilled with the response to our Underground Experience event,” said Pat Boyle, Executive Director of the Cameron Village Merchant’s Association. “There has continued to be a great deal of interest in the Raleigh Subway through the years. We felt a “last hurrah” for the space, before it is renovated for commercial use, was a terrific thing for the community and an opportunity for a fabulous fundraiser for BackPack Buddies. Even so, the rapid sell out is a wonderful surprise!”
The event will feature live music and a spring fashion runway show. It will be held from 8p.m.-Midnight on Saturday, May 16 and benefits Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s BackPack Buddies program. Tickets include all evening access, fashion show, food and limited beverage coupons, with additional surprises awaiting the party goers.
