Third Annual Great Lakes Business Intelligence and Big Data Summit Draws Hundreds of Big Data Enthusiasts to Metro Detroit
Troy, MI, April 04, 2015 --(PR.com)-- On Thursday, March 26, 2015, more than 300 leading technology and business professionals joined together for the 3rd annual Great Lakes Business Intelligence (BI) and Big Data Summit. The Summit, hosted annually by WIT, has become the premier Big Data event in the Midwest. Attendees learned about real-world best practices, discovered the latest analytic technologies, and collaborated with top executives in the industry.
The day began with a powerful keynote given by Boris Evelson, Vice President of Forrester Research. His presentation focused on “Systems of Insights – The Next Generation BI.”
From there, attendees participated in their choice of 15 sessions composed of business case studies and technology vendor presentations, exploring topics ranging from real-world BI and Big Data case studies, to process and governance considerations and technology innovations.
The day concluded with a memorable keynote by Donald Farmer, Vice President of Innovation and Design at Qlik, who presented “Breaking Bad for Analytics Adoption.” During the closing remarks, many impressive gifts were distributed to the lucky winners of the Twitter, feedback, and sponsor raffles.
Next year, the Great Lakes Business Intelligence & Big Data Summit is scheduled to take place in Metro Detroit on Thursday, March 24th, 2016. They hope to see you there!
