International Students to Earn U.S. High School Diplomas in Switzerland and the United Kingdom
Great Teachers' Academy Announces International Joint Venture.
Atlanta, GA, April 07, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Great Teachers' Academy programs will be offered on existing campuses in both Eastbourne England & Leysin Switzerland starting with the 2015-2016 academic year through a joint venture with Swiss American Academy of Lugano, Switzerland.
The inaugural microcampuses will be limited to between 30 and 40 students.
George Makhviladze, Managing Director of Swiss American Academy says, “The addition of the Great Teachers' Academy program will permit S.A.A. students to study for a high school diploma in one or a combination of the Swiss, UK, Russian, Kazakhstan and U.S. academic systems and allow S.A.A. students to cooperate in project based learning activities with students at all Great Teachers' Academy campuses.”
Mike Davis, President of Great Teachers’ Academy, expressed excitement about the collaborative effort and shared his thoughts regarding the potential benefit for American students. “Great Teachers’ Academy is steadfast in its quest to personalize education while expanding the reach of the educational experience. We see it as a win-win for international and Amercian students."
As a component of the joint venture, a U.S. faculty member will be assigned to the European campuses. All participating S.A.A. students will complete the final month of their academic year at a Great Teachers' Academy campus in the United States.
