Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours' April Spring Break Discount Flights

April Spring Break helicopters are on sale. Air and landing. From Vegas or South Rim. Get seats. Book early.

Las Vegas, NV, April 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours announces a number of price cuts on April Spring Break flights for national park travelers looking to save big during this busy holiday season.

The flight most affordable during this vacation period is the air-only tour from Las Vegas, NV. It goes over Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the Canyon before turning back toward The Strip.

"This flight is great for travelers who are on a budget or who have limited time for sightseeing," said Keith Kravitz, owner of Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours. "Total tour time is just three hours and it includes free hotel pick up and drop off."

The other Vegas tour that's priced right for Spring Break lands on the bottom for a Champagne picnic. "This is the most popular tour on the books," noted Kravitz. "It starts with as 3,500-descent to the base whereupon guests exit the aircraft and enjoy a brunch next to the Colorado River."

Helicopter tour depart from Las Vegas, NV, and Tusayan/South Rim, AZ. Vegas helicopters go to the West Rim while South Rim helicopters stick to that section of the Park. There are no flights between the rims. Travelers who want to go to the South Rim from Las Vegas are advised to fly by plane, which takes 60 minutes.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas features air-only and landing tours. The aerial tours fly over the Canyon and return to town. Landing tours go to the bottom or the top of the West Rim. "Landing tours are the ultimate experience," noted Kravitz. "These trips let visitors experience the Park in a much more satisfying way. It's the reason why landing packages sell out first."

South Rim

Only air tours are offered at the South Rim because the National Park Service bans landing tours. Thus there are two primary flights: The 30-minute trip and the 50-minute trip. The former goes from the South Rim to the North Rim and back. The later does that, too, plus everything up to the eastern border.

"If the Canyon is on a traveler's bucket list, then the 50-minute flight is the best option," said Kravitz. "Doing the 50 ensures that guests see up to 75 percent of the National Park, which is quite a feat considering its comprised of more than 1 million acres of wilderness."

RSVP

Spring Break season is an exceptionally busy time of year. It's advised that travelers book in advance in order to get seats. "Typically, it's suggested that one purchase seats two weeks in advance," said Kravitz. "However, in the case of Spring Break and summer, it's best to buy them right after booking the hotel."

The best helicopter tours are available online because companies post their best promotions and offers on their websites. However, to qualify for the Internet discount rate, travelers must complete the booking online."Too many travelers scan the websites for rates then call customer support to process the booking," said Kravitz. "Don't do this. Remember, in order to get the special Internet rate, the booking must be concluded online. Once done, it's perfectly fine to contact support and fine-tune the booking because the price is fixed."
