Melbourne, Australia, April 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVP) and noted System Center community figures Pete Zerger and Dan Kregor have announced the formation of two new video podcast series. The podcasts are focused on content for IT professionals looking to advance their knowledge of the “Microsoft Cloud OS”. “Microsoft Cloud OS” is a term used to describe the core components of the Microsoft cloud strategy: Windows Server, Microsoft System Center, and Microsoft Azure. The two podcasts, titled “Inside System Center” and “Inside the Microsoft Cloud”, aim to bring content of interest to IT professionals and even developer audiences, guiding effective management of on-premises or public-cloud resources. The podcasts will follow a 45-60 minute format, featuring Kregor and Zerger collaborating with other experts from the MVP and Microsoft communities.
Zerger, a 9-time Microsoft MVP shared, “As the Microsoft technology stack evolves to support heterogeneous, hybrid, and cloud-first strategies, as well as disciplines such as Agile development and DevOps, so too must the way we approach these technologies as IT professionals and application developers. Our efforts are focused on helping our audience leverage the knowledge they have today on a learning path that ensures they are prepared for the future.”
The “Inside System Center” podcast is a bi-weekly podcast focused on Microsoft System Center topics across the range of System Center components, including Operations Manager, Configuration Manager, Virtual Machine Manager, Orchestrator, Data Protection Manager and a wide variety of management topics incorporating these components. The pair also expect sessions will cross the boundary between data center and cloud, addressing System Center integration with cloud technologies such as Azure Operational Insights and Microsoft Intune.
On the other hand, “Inside the Microsoft Cloud” is positioned as a bi-weekly podcast aimed at IT professionals and application developers, focusing primarily on IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS topics, including Microsoft private and hybrid cloud scenarios which leverage Hyper-V, Windows Azure Pack (WAP), and Microsoft Azure components. The podcast team also expect to focus on a wide variety of public cloud subject matter, including Azure PaaS topics and Microsoft SaaS offerings, such as Office 365 and Microsoft Intune. Process orchestration via Microsoft’s latest orchestration platforms Service Management Automation and Azure Automation will play a prominent role in many discussions. The podcast also looks to share knowledge on disciplines such as DevOps and Agile development, two topics coming front-and-center with IT Pros in the age of the cloud.
Kregor, also a Microsoft MVP (in System Center Cloud and Data Center Management), confided “Many of our friends in the community see an uncertain future in the face of rapidly evolving technologies and more business-centric approaches to IT operations. Our aim is to bring visibility to the opportunities that lie in wait for System Center professionals who take a forward thinking approach in acquiring the right skills to help their business leverage these changes to gain competitive advantage. And if all goes to plan, we’ll have some fun along the way.”
Schedules for each podcast are planned several weeks in advance, with production to begin later in April. Look for announcements on popular social media channels and on the Inside Podcast Network website, http://ipn.tv, later this month.
