Startupbootcamp Istanbul is Offering a $10 Million Fund to Startups
Istanbul, Turkey, April 15, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Startupbootcamp Istanbul is offering the 10 startups selected for its latest class the chance to receive up to $250k from a dedicated investment fund of $10 million.
After a successful first program, Startupbootcamp Istanbul is looking to make even bigger noise this year with a $10 million investment fund available to their startups, which will be followed by $40 million next year. The fund pledges to offer follow-up investments of additional rounds committing $250K per team and along with unprecedented access to third party co-investors. This is unique in the region where the median is around $20 - 30K for startups at an early stage.
Startupbootcamp İstanbul takes pride in their vast database of 200+ local and 2000+ global mentors. They regard their network as their biggest strength and by leveraging it they are able to connect the startups to the right mentors at the very moment they need it.
Fully immersed in the city, Startupbootcamp İstanbul has three locations where the startups can build the next big thing. With space at Bahçeşehir University’s very central Beşiktaş campus and the prototyping and R&D facilities at Başakşehir Living Lab, the startups can actually create physical products and reach a test audience for instant feedback. Finally their most recent location is backed by the $10 million fund and will be officially launched in the coming weeks.
"Last year, we have successfully accelerated 9 startups, opening Startupbootcamp's expertise and resources to them. Although these startups received significant investments, we have witnessed that they were in need of a higher degree of support, especially in business development. We saw that we should have nurtured them until they were able to stand on their own feet completely and decided to participate in this initiative backed by a fund of 10 million US dollars," says Çiğdem Toraman, Startupbootcamp Istanbul Managing Director.
At the end of the program, the startups will pitch their company to 250+ investors, mentors and partners on the Demo Day, 8th December 2015.
