Ad Agency Offers Art Scholarship to Central Ohio Students for Fifth Year

Columbus, OH, April 16, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Award-winning advertising agency, LaineGabriel, has launched the fifth year of its Tenfold Initiative. The Tenfold Initiative is an annual $1,500 art scholarship and mentoring program offered to Central Ohio high school students. Scholarship recipients are based on both financial need and quality of work submitted.

LaineGabriel Principals, Lisa Miller and James Brown, created The Tenfold Initiative to honor teachers who make great efforts to support their students. Miller’s personal goal is to pay back the generosity of two high school art teachers who helped shaped her future at a time when her dreams of attending college were waning due to financial struggles.

“Two of my high school art teachers believed in me enough to personally contribute to my first college courses,” Miller said. “Their encouragement and financial sacrifice have never left my thoughts. I’m fortunate to be able to pay it forward - tenfold.”

Four students have been awarded the Tenfold Initiative scholarship since 2011. The second Tenfold Initiative recipient, Ogechukwu Mora, said she would not have been able to attend Rhode Island School of Design without the scholarship.

“My experience with Tenfold has been life changing. I hope that one day I will be able to give back in the way she (Lisa) has to the Columbus art community,” Mora said.

As applications begin arriving to LaineGabriel’s Powell office, the agency is eager to inspire more young artists and plans to grow the scholarship fund next year.
