A Tangram Tale: Author Publishes a Booklet for Kids Using the Visual Tangram Language

Author Frank C. Keen presented the first of a series of short tales illustrated with Tangram figures, publishing it on Lulu.com, the online marketplace for digital content.

Salerno, Italy, November 23, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Tangram is an ancient Chinese puzzle. It consists in seven pieces obtained by the dissection of a square. Reassembling all the pieces, which may not overlap, several visual impressive silhouettes can be obtained, looking as humans, animals, objects etc. Adding few elements, the author made a fantastic world well suited to kids of all ages.

The Keen’s tale deals with the everyday adventures of two fine bunnies and of their cousin Albert. The story turns out in a joke and in a lesson, too: “Don’t leave Albert alone! He’s smiling, but is he happy?” (from the back cover).

He encourage to enter that world, making one’s own Tangram set with paper, wood, cardboard, fabric glued onto cardboard, or similar, and to play with new characters and stories.

The author defines himself: “Math oriented mind with scientific background F.C.Keen has been always fascinated by Art and Literature contaminations in Mathematics and viceversa.”
