KOSBE Hosts Franchising in the Tri-Cities Event
Kingsport, TN, April 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Small Business Development Center ETSU – Kingsport Affiliate will host Franchising in the Tri-Cities on Thursday, May 7, 1-2:30 PM, at your Kingsport Chamber of Commerce. The training is co-sponsored by the Kingsport Office of Small Business Development and Entrepreneurship (KOSBE), your Kingsport Chamber of Commerce, and FranNet of Alabama and East Tennessee.
The training is open to individuals and business owners interested in learning more about franchising – costs, special incentives available to military veterans, different types of franchise business models, misconceptions, and turning a current business into a franchise.
KOSBE Executive Director Aundrea Wilcox said, “Franchising can be a lower risk alternative for someone who welcomes proven processes, procedures, and marking support. Franchising is also less burdensome than starting from scratch in many ways.”
This training will be led by Jerry Bird, Franchise Business Consultant with FranNet. Bird helps those interested in franchising investigate and explore a variety of franchise opportunities. Bird is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He has a wide variety of career experience, including managing the largest franchise for a premier franchise and owning and operating his own business – including positioning it for sale.
This is a free training, but pre-registration is required. Please R.S.V.P. online at http://bit.ly/FranTriCities or to Dana Glenn at 423.392.8825 or dglenn@tsbdc.org.
