Santa Clara, CA, April 18, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Today, Pleyworld.com, a product of Pley.com, announces the launch of Multipley. Pley has partnered with Maker Faire, the leader of the maker movement, to create a global contest that allows all LEGO fans to design their own creations and earn up to $1,500.
Pley aims to encourage creativity with kids and adults through the Multipley contest. Participants are encouraged to take an existing LEGO set and make their own creation for submission. For example, participants can take a LEGO Fire Truck set, build it into a spaceship, and submit the new design to the contest.
Participants have the option to build with virtual bricks using software or receive the physical bricks using Pley’s LEGO rental service.
Once LEGO fans complete their new design, they can easily submit it to Pleyworld.com to be considered in the MultiPley contest. LEGO fans can submit multiple designs to increase their chances to win.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase and reward LEGO fans,” says Ranan Lachman, CEO of Pley. “Pleyworld was created to democratize creativity within the LEGO fan community. With Multipley there is no instruction manual that limits your imagination and the best part is that you can make money doing what you are so passionate about - building with LEGO. We wanted to find a way to reward designers for their creativity, and we are pleased to have joined forces with Maker Faire to reach millions of designers.”
The top prize in each category (ages 13 and under and 14 and up) is $1,500; followed by $350 for second; and $150 for third.
The contest will run from April 15, 2015 to July 15, 2015. To see details of the contest, please visit http://www.pleyworld.com/multipley.
