Event Synopsis:
Increasingly, the United States is using economic sanctions to promote American foreign, political, and economic policy objectives. The United States now places economic sanctions against dozens of countries. Many economic sanctions are used in place of declining global military and political power. Never the less, many such economic sanctions are necessary and justified; at least at the outset. Yet, too often such sanctions are placed without sensible thought to the future consequences for the global financial economy, other nations, the US economy, or US businesses at home and abroad. As such, there is an urgent need for pragmatic communication and centrist solutions.
Join The Knowledge Group and its notable panel of experts and professionals offering the audience an overview of the current state of Economic Sanctions placed by the United States. The panel will discuss the benefits and drawbacks, compliance and litigation risks, and solutions for companies in the US and overseas facing the myriad financial, logistical, and political consequences of economic sanctions. The panel also will provide insights and best practices into avoiding the most common risks and pitfalls of economic sanctions in 2015.

- Proposed Enhancement of Trade, Security, and Human Rights Sanctions Reform Act
