Hollywood, CA, April 18, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Congratulations to Hotwired for being one of the 12-finalist bands selected to compete at FESTAPALOOZA on May 2nd located at M15 Concert Bar & Grill – 9022 Pulsar Court, Corona, CA 92883. Three winning bands will go on to play at the Hair of the Dog Music Festival, on Oct 3rd., at Storm Stadium with bands: Jack Russell's Great White, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, Warrant, Dokken, Trixter, LA Guns, and many more; hosted by Eddie Trunk of That Metal Show.

Hotwired is an original female-fronted hard rock band from Southern California. The members of Hotwired consists of lead vocalist Jamie Hansen, Robert Kuziora on lead guitar, John Draper on bass, and Rob Woods-drums. Their music embodies the energy and spirit of the rock n roll arena band. Since the band’s inception in 2008, they have amassed a loyal following playing shows along Hollywood’s famed Sunset Strip. Venues under their rock & roll belt include The Roxy, Viper Room, Key Club, Rainbow, The Joint, and their “home away from home,” the world famous Whisky A Go Go.

It is at the Whisky where the band really cut their “musical teeth.” They have played over 50 shows there, some of which they headlined. They’ve also been one of the “go to” bands to open for national touring acts including Lita Ford, Jack Russell’s Great White, Kix, Black N Blue, Gilby Clarke and Matt Sorum, formerly of Guns & Roses, and Vains of Jenna.

Other memorable shows include being part of the Key Club’s Hollywood Rock Convention, a four day music extravaganza in which signed and unsigned bands came together to show that hard rock is far from being dead. Among the bands Hotwired shared the bill with were Bulletboys, Pretty Boy Floyd, Enuff Z’nuff and Chris Holmes of Wasp and his all star band, “The Big Ball Stars.” Hotwired has also opened for 80’s hard rock band, Great White (“Once Bitten Twice Shy”) during their 25th Anniversary Tour and 80’s pop band Missing Persons (“Living in L.A.”).

On New Year’s Eve 2013, Hotwired opened for 80’s metal band Kix at the Whisky. It was the second New Year’s Eve show they were a part of at the Whisky, the other being in 2008 with nationally renowned Led Zepagain, the premier Led Zeppelin tribute band.

In January of 2014 Hotwired proudly got to be part of the Whisky A Go Go’s 50thanniversary celebration. On that very special night, the band shared the stage with Slash, formerly of Guns & Roses/Velvet Revolver, Lita Ford and Cherie Currie, both former Runaways, and the legendary Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple/California Breed/Black Country Communion. It was a rock & roll night to remember and the most memorable highlight of Hotwired’s career thus far.

Also in 2014, at the rockin’ M15 concert hall in Corona, CA, Hotwired had a blast opening for 80’s all star tribute band, Let it Rawk--comprised of members from L.A. Guns, Stryper, Black N Blue, and Ace Frehley’s band.

Hotwired is now in studio recording their album: Hotwired I (Roman numeral one), to be released in summer and will coincide with what will be as Hotwired guitar-player Rob Kuziora describes, "a proper rock album release party." See you from the stage!
