Davidson Realty Sponsors World Golf Village Relay For Life
Davidson Realty, Inc. is a bronze level sponsor for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life in World Golf Village on Saturday, April 25.
St. Augustine, FL, April 18, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Davidson Realty, Inc., a leader in Jacksonville and St. Augustine residential real estate, has signed on as a bronze level sponsor for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life in World Golf Village on Saturday, April 25. The event begins at noon and concludes at midnight.
Davidson's sponsorship includes a $1,500 donation to the cause. Other event sponsors are Bug Out Service, Murray Bros. Caddy Shack and La Fontana at the Residences.
Davidson Realtor Deb Pappas serves as Experience Lead for the relay, which includes logistical planning as well as entertainment coordination. Other coordinators include Event Lead Sharon Arnold, People Lead Bambi Deitch, Fund the Cure Lead Ashley Burg and Media Lead Cathy de Verteuil.
Said Pappas, "I believe cancer is a disease we can fight. One of the team captains lost her 20-year-old daughter to brain cancer last year. I participate to unite World Golf Village to fight the fight for all of the individuals and families who are suffering. I am hoping in my lifetime we can find a cure."
Pappas said participation is easy. "Anyone can sign up online and form a team. People can do all fundraising online or sell items at the relay itself and donate the money made."
At least 25 teams are expected to participate in the event, each of which have chosen a state to represent. Davidson Realty's 12-member team is representing Illinois, Pappas' home state.
Said Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson, "Deb and the other event chairs are working really hard to put together a fantastic relay. We're looking forward to seeing the World Golf Village community come together like they always do for this important cause."
Survivors will be honored with a luncheon and gift bag. Entertainment will be provided by Showtime USA and belly dancer Liz Rizzolo.
