Turning Points for Children Prepares for Annual Kids at Heart Gala
Leading social service organization to host fundraiser on April 23 at the Union League of Philadelphia.
Philadelphia, PA, April 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Turning Points for Children (www.turningpointsforchildren.org), an affiliate of Public Health Management Corporation (www.PHMC.org), will host Kids at Heart, the organization's largest annual fundraiser on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Union League of Philadelphia. Beginning with a VIP Champagne Reception at 5:30 PM, the event will include cocktails, food stations, entertainment, exciting auction opportunities and a presentation of the 2015 Kids at Heart Honoree, Albert S. Dandridge III, Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
Turning Points for Children is one of Philadelphia’s largest and most innovative social service organizations. Throughout its history, thousands of people have relied on Turning Points for Children in their time of need. The exceptional staff and volunteers have always answered the call, remaining steadfast in their commitment to support families in raising safe, healthy, educated and strong children.
“We are excited to host our many donors, vendors, partners and volunteers at this year’s Kids at Heart gala,” said Mike Vogel, CEO of Turning Points for Children. “This is an opportunity for us to share our plans for the future, as well as celebrate the stories of program participants whose lives have been forever changed because of Turning Points for Children and our supporters. We will also honor the life and work of Kim Jones, the Director of our FAST (Families and Schools Together) Program.”
In the last several months, the number of services provided and the number of people supported by Turning Points for Children have tripled. A truly prolific organization, Turning Points for Children now serves 6,000 men, women and children through a wide range of proven, “no fee” social and support programs.
As the needs of Philadelphia’s families and children exceed the available funding, Turning Points for Children works diligently to raise money throughout the year. The Kids at Heart gala is one of a variety of fundraising activities that enable Turning Points for Children to provide the highest level of programming to many of Philadelphia’s most vulnerable families and children.
Tickets for the Kids at Heart gala are $150 per person for the main event, and $175 each for the main event and the VIP Champagne Reception, where Chancellor Dandridge will be honored.
