Carla Bonten Realty, Inc. to Host Bead Party Fundraiser for “Miracles in Action” on December 10th
Funds raised will benefit Miracles in Action, a Naples-based non-profit organization. Miracles in Action has been raising awareness and funds for the past several years to help poor Mayan children (indigenous people of Guatemala, Central America) who would never learn to read or write because they have no school in their village.
Bonita Springs, FL, November 23, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Carla Bonten Realty, Inc. is pleased to invite the public to a Holiday Fundraiser for Miracles in Action on Monday, December 10th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Spanish Wells Carla Bonten Realty office located at 28000 Spanish Wells Blvd, Suite 103 in Bonita Springs.
The Holiday Bead Party Fundraiser will feature handmade Guatemalan beaded necklaces, purses, bracelets and more. Sales of these beaded handicrafts will help local non-profit Miracles in Action support the administrative costs of their many projects in Guatemala.
Cindy Hall, from the TV reality show Survivor Guatemala and the Naples Zoo, is a new volunteer with Miracles in Action and will be present to help raise awareness for this worthy organization and the ongoing work they do in Guatemala. Hall commented that her experience in Guatemala changed her life forever. She now wants to be part of a positive change for the children of that land, whether it be in education, clean running water or better living conditions.

“When we build schools, they are in a partnership; the villagers do the unskilled construction labor, the government provides the architect, foreman, and later, the teachers. Miracles In Action donors provide the funds for the building materials,” says founder, Penny Rambacher. To build a three room school complete with bathrooms and kitchen costs between $15,000-20,000 U.S. dollars. School #16 is preparing for it’s grand opening in January 2008.
