SRMA Announces Locations for Florida Manufacturing Career Day
Meet manufacturers and job candidates at this free statewide event on April 22.
Fort Myers, FL, April 22, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Manufacturers will put on their “hiring hats” to meet potential employees at three Southwest Florida locations during Florida Manufacturing Career Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22 at CareerSource locations in Fort Myers, Immokalee and Naples. No pre-registration is required for job seekers at this free event, which will feature various manufacturing companies including StormSmart, Mermaid Manufacturing, Pelican Wire, Arthrex, Algenol and US Sugar. Representatives from local learning institutions will also be on hand to highlight educational opportunities and career paths in manufacturing.
The Southwest Florida Regional Manufacturers Association (SRMA) will have a table of its own at the Naples CareerSource location, 3050 Horseshoe Drive N., Suite 110, Bldg. A, as a resource to manufacturers, job seekers, students, educational institutions, career development networks and economic development authorities. CareerSource in Fort Myers is located at 4150 Ford Street Ext. The Immokalee office is at 750 South 5th Street.
These three job fairs are planned as part of a statewide event held in partnership with regional manufacturing associations, the Manufacturing Association of Florida, the MAF Center for Advanced Manufacturing Excellence, the Florida TRADE Consortium, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity and the CareerSource Florida Network.
Manufacturing is growing in Southwest Florida, and SRMA is building a strong foundation in which to support its membership by providing education, resources, marketing, promotions, networking, grants, scholarships, internships, training and an annual Made in Southwest Florida Faire.
