RationalPlan 4.11 – Improved Online Project Planning and Support for High Resolution Monitors

Craiova, Romania, April 24, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Stand By Soft is pleased to announce the release of RationalPlan 4.11. Current version comes with support for high resolutions screens, an improved web-based project management module for the Server product, better support for opening Microsoft© Project 2013 files, custom filters, more predefined roles and much more. Plus starting with this version RationalPlan is also available in Brazilian Portuguese language.

RationalPlan started as an easy to use and straightforward project management software but it evolved into an embedded and powerful system that is now available even as a project management cloud service both for individuals and for companies that need a distributed solution with concurrent access from multiple users.

Online project planning is now easier to achieve with the new web-based interface from the RationalPlan Cloud solution. Although still in beta users now have interactive Gantt charts, access to manage risks and project details like info, notes, assumptions & constraints. Easy, straightforward and from any place with just a simple access to a web browser.

RationalPlan team puts the accent on simplicity and ease of use. Users need to understand fast how to use the application in order to get productive. And this is especially valid for first time users. Current version comes to support this philosophy by adding a project guide that take users step by step through the process of creating, planning and managing their projects.

New settings were added like the possibility to only show “In progress” assignments or to send notifications when tasks become 100% complete. More than that users can now login within their account and filter their assigments through various criteria including complete or incomplete assignments. On the administration area new predefined roles were added like “Responsible” and “Project manager”. This allows a more flexible management for users’ access rights.

When it comes to desktop products several major improvements were made. First of all the products are now available in Brazilian Portuguese language thanks to the help offered by Fernando Possebon, an IT Manager at TMSA – Tecnologia em Movimentação.

As technology evolved high DPI resolution screens were created. With this version RationalPlan added support for such screens on Windows© operating systems. It is a matter of time until other operating systems will also support such hardware. On the same note users can now also change the font size within the entire application based on their needs.

When it comes to openning Microsoft© Project files things are not that easy because the .mpp file format is a binary one. For this version certain improvements were made to offer better support for 2013 files.

At users requests new filters were added like “Current project” filter in Timesheet view. More than that users can now create custom filters and even save them for future use. This way it is easier to stay focused and keep track of data from one work session to another.
