HHS Selects All Points Logistics LLC for Chief Information Officer - Commodities and Solutions (CIO-CS) Contract
Merritt Island, FL, April 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has selected All Points Logistics LLC (All Points) for its Chief Information Officer – Commodities and Solutions (CIO-CS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). CIO-CS is the fourth iteration of this contract, providing a full array of IT commodities and solutions across the federal government, with an emphasis on agencies like NIH and its parent, HHS, that are involved in health care and clinical and biomedical research.
Touted as offering “Every IT commodity you can think of. Any IT commodity-enabling solution you can imagine,” CIO-CS will offer systems and services in support of end user hardware and software, IT and cyber security, enterprise-wide mobile and cloud collaboration, health and biomedical research, on-premise infrastructure, and a variety of platform and telecommunication needs.
All Points was selected as a CIO-CS contract holder, because of its extensive experience providing streamlined planning, acquisition and deployment of enterprise IT commodity and service requirements to its federal and commercial customers. Joe Bellotte, Vice President of All Points’ Government Solutions Division, which will administer the contract stated, “We are delighted to add this prestigious contract to All Points’ portfolio of federal services and look forward to providing the highest level of dedicated support to our federal clients and the government community who utilize CIO-CS to meet their IT needs.”
This new GWAC provides NITAAC, NIH’s Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center, the ability to deliver a new spectrum of products and services both on-site and in the cloud. The CIO-CS contract replaces NITAAC’s current ECS III contract and will be available beginning May 1, 2015 for all Federal Agencies to streamline the procurement of the next generation IT commodities and solutions. Each CIO-CS contract will have an effective ordering period of ten years, consisting of a 5-year base period and one 5-year option period.
