Veteran-Friendly Business Launches Revolutionary New Bed Bug Product
Ravenna, OH, April 24, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Along with launching this innovative yet safe product, founder Rick Mladek is committed to hiring disabled Veterans also known as Wounded Warriors.
Thermal Safe, Inc. recently announced the launch of their innovative new bed bug product, designed to safely and effectively prevent an infestation of bed bugs without requiring the use of pesticides.
But it’s not just Thermal Safe, Inc. that has the world buzzing with anticipation – it’s the story behind this exciting product’s launch.
Founder and Thermal Safe, Inc. President Rick Mladek worked as an exterminator back in the 1980s, when commonly used pesticides were organophosphates. The EPA banned most residential uses of organophosphates in 2001, but they are still sprayed agriculturally on fruits and vegetables. As a result of working with these dangerous chemicals, Mladek lost his eyesight. Today, Mladek is totally and permanently blind.
“My vision loss was one of the primary reasons why I developed Thermal Safe,” says Mladek. “I wanted to develop a way of eliminating bed bugs that wasn’t only extremely effective, but also safe. I’m committed to making sure families and exterminators don’t hurt themselves, or damage property. Of which is unfortunately more commonly reported due to the global problem with bed bugs.”
The end result of Mladek’s mission is the Thermal Safe. This being a heated vault that offers the best defense against bed bugs from being brought into a person’s home. To use Thermal Safe, one simply places their belongings into the cabinet, which is heated to an impressive 135 °F. Anything placed within the container will be completely engulfed with hot air, which kills off eggs, nymphs, and adult bed bugs that may be hiding on or in the item. These temperatures are also sufficient in remediating items that may be carriers of lice or cloth moths, as well.
The Thermal Safe is also equipped with safety measures that protect in case of system failure.
“To put it simply, there’s no other product that’s as safe and effective as the Thermal Safe,” Mladek points out. “This is definitely good news, considering that North America was projected to spend an approximate $5 billion on bed bug products and/or services in 2014 and these estimates are growing on an annual average of 15-20 percent.” “Mladek continues by stating that many of the products now available simply do not work and it is completely understood that when one is in a position attempting to either prevent an infestation or to rid an existing infestation, they’ll simply try anything. I want people to know that your best weapon against bed bugs is prevention.”
Mladek’s blindness can also be credited with his unwavering dedication to building a Veteran-friendly business. As the company expands, Mladek has committed to hiring as many disabled Veterans or Wounded Warriors as possible. Many Veteran employees already bring knowledge of bed bugs to the table, as soldiers often deal with bed bug problems on ships and/or in barracks.
When asked about his commitment to hiring Veterans, Mladek is dismissive of any accolades.
“They gave so much of themselves in order to protect our freedoms,” he explains. “It’s our responsibility to show gratitude and not forget those who served us. They’re an untapped workforce, and Thermal Safe, Inc. will ensure that as many positions they fill will be first considered for disabled Veterans who need to again experience the kind of independence that is only possible through employment.”
Mladek may find himself needing to hire Veterans soon. Customers are already lining up to get their hands on a Thermal Safe, with interested clients including corporations, universities, and even the U.S. government.
“Bed bugs are amazingly resilient,” Mladek points out. “They have been found to have a genetic defense to pesticides. Additionally, bed bugs have exo-skeletons and do not clean themselves, so residual pesticides are often not absorbed or digested.”
To mark the launch Thermal Safe, Mladek will announce a Kickstarter campaign to offer the product at a discounted rate. By supporting the Kickstarter campaign, patrons can help Thermal Safe offer employment opportunities to disabled Veterans, our Wounded Warriors.
