Leading New Jersey Packaging Association Announces Hall of Fame & Scholarship Dinner

The New Jersey Packaging Executives Club (NJPEC) will be holding its annual Hall of Fame & Scholarship Dinner on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the Manor in West Orange, NJ. Since 2003, the dinner has celebrated the achievement and contributions of top executives who have made a significant impact on the packaging industry. Packaging Executives from Estee Lauder, L'Oreal, Albea, Flock-Tek, & USS Corp., to be honored.

West Orange, NJ, April 28, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The New Jersey Packaging Executives Club (NJPEC), www.njpec.com, will be holding its annual Hall of Fame & Scholarship Dinner on Thursday, May 7th, at the Manor in West Orange, NJ. Since 2003, the dinner has celebrated the achievement and contributions of top executives who have made a significant impact on the packaging industry.

The 2015 NJPEC Hall of Fame Honorees are leaders in brand manufacturing and packaging supplies:

• Steve Chapman, Key Account Manager, Albea

• Henry Renella: Senior V.P. Global Package Development, Estee Lauder

• Walter Armstrong: Vice President of Sales, Flock-Tex

• Bob Cramer: Director of Packaging, L'Oreal

• Bob DeProspo: Executive V.P., USS Corp. (In Memoriam)

The NJPEC May 7th dinner will also bestow scholarships to up and coming packaging students as well as a high-achieving members’ son or daughter who have demonstrated strong academic achievement. Scholarships include:

–NJPEC Scholarship: awarded to promising undergraduates or graduate students who are enrolled in a packaging science or packaging engineering curriculum.

–Dr. Frederick Rimmele Memorial Scholarship: awarded to a NJPEC member in good standing with a son or daughter who is a full-time undergraduate student at a fully accredited college or university, having completed 2 semesters with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

–The Kathleen Brady Zito Scholarship: given to an exemplary full-time undergraduate or graduate female applicant in each calendar year.

–Pattie F. Wexler Women’s Packaging Professional Scholarship: Hopes to foster and support education for single mothers pursuing a degree in the fields of Packaging or Design. The scholarship was established in 2015 and will be awarded annually.

“This dinner is an inspirational night as we honor five individuals who have made an impact in packaging and design as well as shared their wisdom and generosity to educate and mentor others,” said John Ziemba, President of NJPEC, and Vice-President of Sales & Marketing, Tadbik. “It is also exciting to award scholarships to the next generation of outstanding packaging and business executives.”
