Tough Mudder Returns to Mansfield, OH in New Venue
Mansfield, OH, April 28, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Mansfield, Ohio will again play host to the Tough Mudder, with the adventure competition event taking place May 9-10 at a new location: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Those who are willing to test both their mental and physical strength may register at ToughMudder.com. They're encouraged to also visit MansfieldTourism.com for local hotel and visitor information. In addition, the website features Mud Deals, offering loads of great discounts and specials for Mudder participants. For the second year in a row, Miss Ohio Mackenzie Bart, will take part in this year's Tough Mudder event in Mansfield.
This year, Tough Mudder will take over Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, creating a huge mess and even more excitement with tons of thick mud. A nod to Mansfield's rich Shawshank Redemption heritage, 2015 participants can get Shawshanked with an Andy Dufresne escape-inspired obstacle that moves Mudders up a wet, muddy tube and dumps them into a water pit. A new kids Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder will encourage kids age 7-12 and at least 42 inches tall to get down and dirty in a one-mile pint-sized competition. Also new this year, on-site parking will make it easy for participants and spectators to take part in Tough Mudder.
For athletes, it doesn’t get much more extreme than competing in a Tough Mudder, a hardcore, 10- to 12-mile obstacle course challenge designed to test participants’ strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. Lured by its innovative courses, athletes have taken part in events in the US, Canada, Austria, the UK and Germany, making Tough Mudder the premier adventure challenge series in the world. In addition, Tough Mudder has raised more than $5 million for the Wounded Warrior Project.
A destination unlike any other, Mansfield is home to a wealth of unusual travel adventures and experiences, such as visiting the working farm where Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall were married to spending the night in a haunted former state prison where Hollywood blockbuster movies are filmed. Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Mohican State Park, breathtaking scenery, rural and hometown experiences, as well as hiking, biking, golf, cross-country and downhill skiing, bird watching and loads of other outdoor adventures attract travelers of all ages. Complete visitor information is available at www.MansfieldTourism.com or (800) 642-8282.
