Crafters Await Upcoming Mega Meet for 16th Year
Scrapbook show drives crafters to preserve memories.
Novi, MI, April 29, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Crafters are eager for the 16th annual Mother’s Day weekend tradition, the Scrapbooks Mega Meet, May 7-9 at the Suburban Collection Showplace. Paper crafters can head to the Great Lakes Mega Meet Scrapbook Convention for inspiring classes, loads of supplies and time and space to start – or finish – projects designed to preserve memories.
"Great Lakes Scrapbook Events has grown over the last year with an additional convention in the fall and an array of retreats. Our crafters are eager for another year at the flagship event that started it all, the Great Lakes Mega Meet Scrapbook Convention,” said Kate Griswold, owner and organizer of the GLMM. “We continue to provide paper crafters with advance techniques and supplies. All-day crop areas continue to grow and electricity, Wi-Fi and lunch are all included for day croppers – all at a reduced price. The goal of the GLMM is to provide our guests with money and time-saving techniques and products in one convenient and exciting weekend."
The event provides guests with a weekend of scrapbooking ideas, products, hands-on classes and Make-It Take-It opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to browse 75 vendor booths, and sit down to work on projects in the open crop area. Professionals from popular companies such as Quick Quotes, Melissa Frances, and Embellish It! help inspire guests and keep their supplies stocked for the year to come.
“Scrappers throughout Michigan have come to know and love the Great Lakes Mega Meet,” Griswold said. “There is the opportunity to see, touch, and try so many new things. To have so many classes available in one place at one time is something guests don't often get to experience anywhere else.”
Guests are also invited to a special Round Robin Mini Class Marathon on Wednesday evening. The event will be held May 6 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 and will include a variety of craft projects to get guests geared up for the three-day event. One huge late-night crop will take place Friday evening, providing scrappers with large work spaces and a friendly environment. Page and table contests keep things entertaining and fun throughout the evening. Guests are urged to reserve a spot at the crop early, as the event tends to sell out.
