These two individuals will continue to best serve and represent the interests of the community at large and will continue to be great partners to the five other Board members and Superintendent, Dr. Robert Shaps. As the current Vice-President of the Board, Melany has proven herself to be an effective and capable trustee for the community. Roger has successfully leveraged his experience as a career educator and has made key contributions across a number of initiatives, including in his role on the Board’s curriculum committee and as the Board’s liaison to the High School.”

Of the new candidate, Mr. Riter said, “Paul is a dedicated parent of young children in the district. He is also a coach and PTA member who has volunteered his time and effort to supporting the school community. I have invested myself not only in the committee work to which I have been assigned, but also in attending other committee meetings as I am able, and in getting out in the community -- at the Listening Tour meetings, superintendent coffees and other opportunities to hear what parents are thinking -- so that I can better understand and represent our community.”
