e-con Systems Announces World’s First BLE Stack for Windows Embedded Compact 2013
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) / Bluetooth4.0 stack for Windows Embedded Compact 2013. Demonstrating the GATT profile.
St. Louis, MO, April 30, 2015 --(PR.com)-- e-con Systems Inc., a leading product design services company specializing in Windows embedded services has developed BLE stack (http://www.e-consystems.com/bluetooth-low-energy.asp?BLEPR) for Windows Embedded Compact 2013 for the first time ever.
Windows Embedded Compact 2013 did not have any support for BLE 4.0 thus far. The BLE stack is intended to provide considerably reduced power consumption, size and cost while maintaining a similar communication range as the classic Bluetooth. In many cases, it makes it possible to operate the devices for more than a year without recharging.
"We are proud to be the only company to offer BLE stack for Windows Embedded Compact 2013. We have been receiving multiple enquiries from our customers for BLE stack on Windows Embedded Compact for variety of applications such as heart rate monitors, fitness sensors, ID tags etc and our BLE stack would enable them to bring their Bluetooth Smart enabled products to market quickly," said Ashok Babu, President of e-con Systems.
Customers who wish to develop their own customized applications on top of BLE stack would immensely benefit from this as the BLE SDK comes with dynamic libraries both C# and C++ and API developer guide. The APIs are designed with reference to Windows 8 desktop BLE APIs defined by Microsoft so customers could port their BLE based desktop application to Windows Embedded Compact 2013 environment with ease.
Availability
This stack is available immediately for demo. Customers who wish to evaluate the BLE stack can get the iMX6 based development board, Ankaa (http://www.e-consystems.com/iMX6-development-board.asp?BLEPR) running on Windows Embedded Compact 2013.
