MTS Management Group Artists Win at 2015 Indie Music Channel Awards
MTS Management Group Artists, Canadian folk-rock singer/songwriter, Ed Roman and Swedish country singer/songwriter, Hicks have won at the 2015 Indie Music Channel Awards. Ed won for Best Male Folk Artist and Best Folk Recording. Hicks won for Best Country Video.
Hollywood, CA, April 30, 2015 --(PR.com)-- MTS Management Group is happy to announce Ed Roman and Hicks have both won at the 2015 Indie Music Channel Awards. Ed was awarded Best Male Folk Artist and Best Folk Recording for "Comin' My Way." Hicks was awarded Best Country Video for "Mama's Kitchen." Both Ed and Hicks were nominated for multiple other awards. The IMC Awards Ceremony took place on April 26, 2015 at the famed Whisky A GoGo in Hollywood, CA.
Other winners include Abi Ann, Al Brake, Lauren Moscato, and Septimius The Great Previous IMC Award Winners include Diamante, Stephanie K, Judith Miller and Tim McDonald.
Indie Music Channel was created by Emmy Award winning TV host, actor & model, Christopher Ewing. Blurring the lines between pop, rock, folk, and country music genres, Ed’s uniquely crafted songs have received regular rotation on more than 100 terrestrial radio stations across North America. Hicks (Miqael Persson) is an accomplished songwriter from the south of Sweden, with multiple Gold and Platinum records to his credit. His rock-edged songs have been recorded by artists like Jimi Jamison (Survivor), Giant (Dann Huff), Bobby Kimball (Toto), Little River Band, W.E.T. (Featuring Jeff Scott Soto), Grammy nominated Toby Hitchcock and Grammy winner, Barbados. He has also written with Nashville heavy-hitters like Steve Wariner, Anthony Smith, Dallas Rogers, Dennis Morgan and Sharon Vaughn. In June 2014, “Hayride” became his first official US radio single release on MTS Records. It reached the Music Row chart Top 80, making Hicks the first Swedish artist to chart on Music Row.
