Clos La Chance's Groovin in the Grove Next Stop for Songwriter Promoting Military Charities
Promoting awareness of the military charity Semper Fi is never done. To Prove the Point, Mick from The Big Dawg Patriots is spreading the word this summer by playing festival and winery gigs.
San Jose, CA, April 29, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The next Club Fox Concert For Semper Fi is over six months away, but the singer-songwriter behind the annual concert is not willing to wait to spread the word about the benefit. He is using the summer months to promote the show with solo performances at festivals and wineries. His solo gig includes his own music, but primarily is focused on performing popular singer-songwriter music.
"From Keith Urban, David Gray, Counting Crows, Family of the Year, or standards like U2 and Kenny Loggins, I'm trying to play songs that people enjoy as they kick back at a festival or winery," Mick says. "As they sit there enjoying the song, we want them to remember how easy it is to support our soldiers."
Mick has said it before, playing music to promote Semper Fi and raise funds is the "least thing he could do."
"I never served in the military, but anyone that takes a look at what our military members and families sacrifice is quickly blown away. We owe so much more. Promoting Semper Fi is the least thing I can do," he says.
The next stop for Mick is at Clos La Chance Winery in San Martin. Admission is free for the June 7th event from 1-4 pm.
"Bring your picnics, chairs, blankets, your kids, take in the music, sip some wine, and remember that our military members made it all possible. Hopefully you will decide to look in on Semper Fi and find a way to support its mission," Mick adds.
