Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization located in Cincinnati, OH is responding to the needs of victims in Nepal following a devastating earthquake. On Saturday, April 25, a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal and neighboring countries. The death toll now stands at over 4,800 and is expected to increase as search and rescue efforts expand to vulnerable, hard-to-reach mountain villages. More than 9,000 people were injured and tens of thousands were left homeless. More than 8,000,000 people have been affected by the disaster.
Matthew 25: Ministries made immediate contact with their partners in Nepal and confirmed that they are all safe and accounted for. A Matthew 25: Ministries staff member will depart next week to coordinate relief efforts including food distributions and surgical clinics with on-the-ground partners in areas hard hit by the earthquake.
