Denver Seminary Celebrates 10 Years in Littleton, Colorado
As the City of Littleton celebrates its 125th birthday, the Seminary celebrates its anniversary in the Littleton community.
Littleton, CO, May 01, 2015 --(PR.com)-- In 2005, Denver Seminary moved to a new campus in Littleton, Colorado. Located just east of the historic Platte River, the new campus built from the ground up specifically for the Seminary now hosts approximately 900 students, 37 faculty, 71 staff, 27 associated faculty, and 42 student employees.
In the last 10 years, the Seminary has opened its doors to the community hosting various churches, events, and bringing students from across the country and globe to live in Littleton. In 2013, the Seminary launched its annual Day to Serve event. Through this event, for the past two years, the Seminary has shut its doors on a fall day and almost 200 students, staff, and faculty have served at various organizations in Littleton including The Colorado Center for the Blind, Hudson Gardens, South Platte Park, ARC Thrift Stores, and East Elementary School. The goal of the event is to simply connect with and serve the Seminary’s surrounding community.
Denver Seminary President Mark Young states, “Littleton is a wonderful city to live and work in. We are pleased to be a part of this community and desire to make a positive contribution to the quality of life for all of its residents.”
Denver Seminary would like to wish Littleton a Happy 125th Birthday. They are thankful to have been a part of this community for the past 10 years and look forward to many more right here, in the heart of Littleton.
