Pet/Owner Look-Alike Contest Seeking Spitting Image of People That Resemble Their Pets
Contest proceeds to feed and care for hundreds of homeless pets and give them a second chance to find forever homes.
Alpharetta, GA, May 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- If you or someone you know resembles a pet or animal companion, it could be worth $200 to you, plus other prizes.
SavetheHorses Rescue and Canine Adoption Network are sponsoring an online Pet/Owner Look-Alike Contest as part of a kickoff for their 15th Annual Animal Rescue Fair (ARF) on June 7th from 12pm to 5pm under the covered arena at Wills Park Equestrian Center in Alpharetta Georgia.
The online contest is open to all who enter before the deadline of May 31. Contestants need to submit a clear picture of themselves with a pet or companion animal that they feel bears some resemblance.
Photo submissions are free and contestants are encouraged to share their photos with friends and family (via email or social media) to receive votes. Vote donations are $1 per vote and all proceeds go to the care and feed of over 100 homeless animals that reside at SavetheHorses Rescue and Canine Adoption Network.
The top three votes receive prizes. The grand prize is a professional photo shoot of the look-alike pair worth $200.
Photo submission and voting begins on May 4 and ends on May 30.

About The Animal Rescue Fair
The public is invited to attend the 15th Annual Animal Rescue Fair (ARF) on June 7th from 12pm to 5pm under the covered arena at Wills Park Equestrian Center in Alpharetta Georgia. This mega adoption event is hosted by two rescue organizations, Canine Adoption Network and SavetheHorses Rescue, whose mission is to rescue abused, starved and neglected animals.
This event features over 50 rescue organizations and humane societies from Georgia and surrounding states who will bring out their adoptable pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, goats, etc.) to meet over 3,000 attendees that are searching for that special friend.
The public is invited to attend and bring their leashed or kenneled pet. There are many activities at ARF where your leashed friend can participate in such as a Pet Costume contest or the adopted pet Walk of Fame (pet parade.) There is also a dachshund race (small dogs of all breeds are welcome to participate.) ARF also features food, lots of raffle prizes, vendors, shopping, face painting, animal education and lots of puppy and kitten love.
Admission is free, but a donation of a bag of pet food is encouraged (dog, cat, horse) for Daffy's Pet Soup Kitchen and Fido's Soup Kitchen. They provide pet food and supplies to those in need during difficult economic times.
The event is sponsored in part by The Ian Somerhalder Foundation which is a charity founded by the CW's Vampire Diaries star and animal activist, Ian Somerhalder.
