Barking Rain Press announced the print and eBook release of their latest crime thriller, "Howling Mountain Blues," Book 3 in the Crime Fighting Bluesmen series by Texas author Ricky Bush.
Vancouver, WA, May 07, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Barking Rain Press, a non-profit fiction publisher, announced the paperback and eBook release of the crime thriller “Howling Mountain Blues” by Brenham, Texas author Ricky Bush. Set in the milieu of the Southeast blues circuit, “Howling Mountain Blues” is the third book in the Crime Fighting Bluesmen series; “River Bottom Blues” is the first book in the series, and “The Devil’s Blues” was the second. All three books in the series are published by Barking Rain Press. The series features fictional blues musician and former reporter Mitty Andersen, who solves murder mysteries while he dabbles in playing blues music with his band, The Repeaters.
When hot shot blues guitarist Wyatt “Earp” Ringold hires The Repeaters to back him up at a blues festival in Belize, Mitty Andersen and Pete Bolden expect to find fun in the sun for a change. What they don’t expect is that notorious racketeer and blues enthusiast Big Bossman is anxiously awaiting their arrival.
The Bossman conducts his illicit activities from a hideaway in the jungles of Howling Mountain. A botched kidnapping has recently put him on the wrong side of a Mexican drug cartel—and he hopes to rectify the situation by mixing business with pleasure at the blues festival. Knowing that trouble always follows Mitty and Pete, ATF agent Lenora Charles insists on tagging along as added security. When she warns them that something isn’t right in paradise, the laid back band members don’t take her instincts seriously—leading to another kidnapping. Can the crime-fighting bluesmen pull off a dangerous rescue mission in time?
