Casa Dorada Los Cabos Appoints New Executive Chef
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, May 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa, a five-star Cabo San Lucas resort, announced Francisco Aguirre as the new Executive Chef of the hotel earlier this month.
Aguirre has begun his career at Casa Dorada in 2012 as a Sous Chef and was in charge of the opening of the now hugely popular Sushi Bar in October of 2013. He specializes in Japanese, Mexican and International cuisine.
Previously, he was at the helm of the Sushi Bar at Gourmet Central in Cabo San Lucas, where he was part of the famed Nick-San Restaurant team for several years. He honed his Japanese cuisine skills at a successful solo venture before coming onboard at Casa Dorada.
Born in Nogales, Sonora, Aguirre has lived in Cabo San Lucas for 14 years, studied the culinary arts in the Baja and he now oversees the five different restaurants at Casa Dorada.
He has already made his mark on the breakfast and lunch menus to offer guests more options that include all-time Mexican favorites, but also healthy fare and innovative new additions.
At 12 Tribes, Casa Dorada’s signature restaurant, dinner menu features a great selection of meats and seafood from the grill as well as Mexican specialties. Chef Aguirre particularly recommends the Mediterranean set menu available on Mondays and Blackened Salmon with spinach, green oil and balsamic reduction from the a la carte menu. As for his specialty, he adds, “It is with great pride that I recommend the Favorite Maki to our guests and patrons. It’s our signature dish at The Sushi Bar and really one not to be missed.”
