Go Purple for Lupus/World Lupus Day 2015
Skip To My Lupus, Inc. is partnering with several local businesses to celebrate World Lupus Day on Saturday, May 9th, at the Five Points fountain. Friends and family of the Five Points community, as well as staff and friends of Skip To My Lupus, Inc., The Five Points Association, Starbucks, Little Miss Kupcakes, and the City of Columbia will come together to dye the Five Points fountain purple.

Skip To My Lupus, Inc. is partnering with several local businesses to celebrate World Lupus Day on Saturday, May 9th, at the Five Points fountain. Friends and family of the Five Points community, as well as staff and friends of Skip To My Lupus, Inc., The Five Points Association, Starbucks, Little Miss Kupcakes, and the City of Columbia will come together to dye the Five Points fountain purple. Dying the fountain purple helps not only to raise awareness of Lupus to the entire community, but also to help celebrate World Lupus Day. Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine will also be delivering an inspiring message on behalf of all of those in our community living with Lupus, as well as those who have lost their battle.
Desserts and purple Frappucinos from Starbucks will be provided at this Free event. There will also be many prizes and giveaways. All are welcome to come to the fountain and wear purple.
What: Dying the fountain purple in celebration of Lupus awareness
Where: Five Points fountain, at the intersection of Saluda Ave. and Harden St.
When: Saturday, May 9th at 7:00pm
Lupus affects 1.5 million people in the United States, with 90% being women. The mission of Skip To My Lupus, Inc. is to provide support, educate and increase awareness about Lupus, and enhance the quality of life for people affected by this disease.
