Global Healthcare Travel Council Appoints New Board Members Elizabeth Ziemba and Irving Stackpole to Lead Education Initiatives for GHTC
Istanbul, Turkey, May 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC) announces the appointment of Elizabeth Ziemba, President of Medical Tourism Training, Inc. (MTTI) and Irving Stackpole, President of Stackpole & Associates, to its Board of Directors effective immediately. Their mandate is to develop and deliver a series of educational and Certificate programs to improve the skills and knowledge of the individuals engaged in the international medical travel sector.
Working with GHTC, Ziemba and Stackpole are creating two unique Certificate programs for travel agents, facilitators, representatives of providers and international patient departments to increase access to affordable, high quality educational tools throughout the world. A two-day introductory program will be offered in October in Kiev, Dubai, and Istanbul. Another two day program at the expert level will follow to build solid management and business basics.
According to Ziemba, “The international medical travel sector is where hospitals and hospitality meet and it requires a distinctive set of knowledge and skills. MTTI was the first company to recognize this need and created a series of training programs based on international best business practices as well as the experience of experts in the field. We are delighted to work with GHTC to bring best-in-class educational programs to a wide range of audiences, including parts of the world where access and affordability may have been barriers to learning what they need to succeed.”
GHTC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion and delivery of healthcare services to individuals everywhere in the world. GHCT provides leadership on global healthcare travel issues, shapes the healthcare research agenda for the sector, sets standards for the industry, articulate evidence-based policy options, provides technical support to countries, and monitors and assesses healthcare travel trends. Emin Cakmak is the Founder and President of the organization.
Mr. Cakmak states, “Adding two internationally respected medical tourism experts to our Board of Directors will help GHTC achieve its objectives quickly, bringing branded training programs to a wide audience. The team at MTTI will provide quality content while Mr. Irving Stackpole is known for his marketing and research expertise. We welcome them to the GHTC Board.”
