Her expansive experience paid off tremendously over the years, and she ventured into retail by opening her own boutique Easy Language. With the location of the store being so close to the visa consulate office, she encountered a number of customers who were foreign travelers looking to buy gifts to take home – but not just any gift. They were specifically looking for items that were "Made in America." At first, it was difficult to accommodate the international shoppers. However, the wheels of imagination began churning in Jerey’s head.

The manufacturing industry died about 50 years ago when the majority of the factories relocated overseas for cheaper labor and materials.
