American Business Awards Bestow a "Stevie®" on Utopic Software for Advancements in "Self-Healing" PC’s and Servers
Utopic Software, a leader in imaging, recovery and configuration management solutions, was selected in the New Product or Service of the Year category for its Persystent Suite offering.
Tampa, FL, May 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- In recognition of advancements for a solution that automates imaging and self-heals operating systems, the American Business Awards named Utopic Software as a Finalist for the 2015 Stevie® Award.
Utopic, a leader in imaging, recovery and configuration management solutions, was selected in the New Product or Service of the Year – Software – Systems Management Solution category for its Persystent Suite offering. Persystent is a cloud-based and on-premise platform that facilitates repair and recovery of compromised or mis-configured devices. It achieves this in near real-time and without manual intervention with a single reboot of a device.
As part of the judging presentation, Utopic proved that a PC experiencing a catastrophic failure resulting from a malware breach, could be “self-healed” with a healthy, approved image in only 45 seconds.
“This award recognizes the innovative value of doing more with less,” said Scott Davis Utopic Software’s Vice President, Marketing. “With so many hours, priorities and dollars wasted on fixing system errors, malware infections, failed patches and other unauthorized changes needing reimaging, we’re excited to see the industry embracing a culture of proactivity—a culture in which Persystent excels.”
As an example, Davis noted that a single instance of malware not only affects 200-300 files on a single device, but the damage often requires a complete reimage of the user’s workstation. This takes more than 2 hours and brings the system back to a Day Zero state.
“Our studies have shown Persystent reduces these kind of break/fix incidents by more than 70 percent. Through automatic corrective action, what we call self-healing, an ideal state is reapplied during the pre-boot process and the user is back up and running within minutes. They don’t lose their data, or applications. Now IT support is free to address higher value priorities. The goal is to get IT out of the reimaging business.”
According to the organizers, a record number of nominations were submitted this year with more than 3,300 from organizations of all sizes and from virtually every industry. The American Business Awards are considered the nation’s preeminent business awards program.
Finalists were chosen by more than 140 business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May. Members of nine specialized final judging committees will determine Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award placements from among Finalists in judging that will begin next week. More than 250 executives will participate in the judging process this year.
Utopic Software is being honored in September along with other finalists which include a number of Fortune 500 technology companies. At that time, the organization will learn if they have been awarded a Gold, Silver or Bronze Stevie® Award. This is Utopic's first nomination and first Stevie® Award win.
