The Virtual Usability Fair by ubivent

Mannheim, Germany, May 14, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The virtual fair brings together usability projects from all over Germany. “In particular for small and medium-sized software companies, the topic of usability is of high interest. In this context, it was only logical to organize a fair, where interested people could interact with each other and exchange opinions with experts from science and industry. Due to its high usability, the ubivent platform was ideally suited for hosting the event as an online fair. This format is perfect for our target group, which is located all over Germany and beyond,” comments Martin Hubschneider, vice president and member of the board of directors of BITMi.

At the fairs’ virtual booths, participants could watch videos, view and download documents, and have conversations with experts via live chats. The highlight of the fair were the video presentations: Keynote speakers from science and industry presented their views on relevant usability topics. Several hundred participants listened to the expert talks and had the opportunity to chat online with the speakers after each presentation. Since there were mostly experts in the audience, very dynamic and productive discussions developed. Stefanie Pick, desk officer & director member relations at BITMi, is quite excited about this feature: “The group chats were very successful. The participants and experts did not even want to stop chatting about usability topics.” After the official program was over, all keynote speeches and more video presentations were available on demand.
