Online Voting Selected Five Winners in Church Hill Classics' 2015 Frame My Future Scholarship Contest

Church Hill Classics, leading diploma frame manufacturer, announces 5 Winners of 2015 Frame My Future Scholarship Contest.

Monroe, CT, May 15, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Church Hill Classics (CHC), a leading manufacturer and online retailer in the college diploma frame industry, announced the five Winners in its seventh annual Frame My Future Scholarship Contest 2015, The Winners were determined through an online public vote of 24 Finalists narrowed from more than 5,500 total entries received.

For seven years, CHC has given back to students pursuing their dreams of a college education by sponsoring the nationwide Frame My Future Scholarship Contest. Students enter a creative, original piece that expresses what they hope to achieve in their personal and professional lives after college. Entries range from photographs, poems, essays, sculptures, collages, drawings, paintings, and other imaginative pieces but must communicate: This is How I Frame My Future. The entry period was from October 1, 2014 to March 3, 2015.

The 24 Finalists were posted online for a one-month public voting period. The Finalists reached out to family, friends, teachers, and their communities to share their entries. The online vote determined the 5 Winners - each of whom will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year. Additionally, the top-voted entry, the Grand Prize Winner, will receive a $1,000 donation to his/her college or university for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Winners of The 2015 Frame My Future Scholarship Contest
This year’s Grand Prize Winner is Olivia Nguyen of San Francisco, California. Olivia will receive $1,000 toward her tuition at New York University in New York, New York in the Fall 2015 where she will be a freshman at the College of Dentistry. As a Grand Prize Winner, New York University will also receive a $1,000 donation to its scholarship endowment fund in Olivia’s name to benefit other students during their academic journeys.

Olivia’s winning creation was a self-photo holding a photograph in front of her acceptance letter to NYU Dental School. The photograph depicted Olivia on a self-funded dental mission trip to Nicaragua. Here is the summary she submitted along with her entry:

“During a self-funded dental mission trip to Nicaragua, I discovered a passion for patient contact and a newfound desire to give back to the community. Through this experience, I am motivated to fulfill my dreams of becoming a dentist. Although the journey has been difficult, I am proud to have been accepted to my top choice dental school. Ashley Naguit of Corpus Christi, Texas, will be a first-year student in the Physician Assistant Studies program at the University of North Texas in Fort Worth, Texas this Fall. Caroline Jarecke of Denver, Colorado entered a graphic design rendition of herself writing code. She will attend Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to study Computer Science and Engineering.

John Williams of Independence, Missouri will attend Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas to study Psychology with an emphasis in pre-law. His entry was a photograph of himself with a gavel. Mariel Velazquez of Edinburg, Texas will study Early Childhood Education at The University of Texas at Austin as a freshman this Fall.
