Atlas Experts to Share Key Strategies at National Ergonomics Conference

On Thursday, November 29, Atlas ergonomic services director David Brodie will offer an introductory-to-intermediate workshop titled “Ergonomics Risk Factors: Finding the Trends in the Data.” Brodie will present information gathered from 2500 office employees from across the country illustrating how work-related discomfort correlates to workforce demographics, furniture and equipment use, and posture. This practical session will help attendees develop strategic, pragmatic plans to improve ergonomics in the office environment.
Also on Thursday, Atlas founder Drew Bossen will lead a session titled “Ergonomics Strategies for Injury Prevention and Reducing Workers’ Compensation Costs.” Bossen will discuss an interventional matrix Atlas developed to control industrial workplace injuries, and offer a “road map” of potential interventions that can complement an effective ergonomics program.
On Friday, November 30, Bossen will present on the timely topic of patient handling in the healthcare industry. Bossen’s presentation, “Gaining Employee Buy-in For Your Safe Patient Handling Program,” will cover best practices, evidence-based guidelines, and justifying investments in ergonomics solutions. The session will also address training strategies, feedback systems, and audits that will help ensure successful implementation.
