Smart Agriculture Analytics Hires Brazil Vice President of Business Development
Sao Paulo, Brazil, May 16, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Smart Agriculture Analytics, a sales accelerating service for agricultural technology suppliers focused on the China market, today announced the appointment of Dr. Avram Slovic as vice president of business development in Brazil. Slovic brings more than a decade of experience in the biotechnology and agricultural science industry.

Dr. Slovic most recently worked in the Corporate Innovation and Technology branch of Braskem S.A., the largest petrochemical company in Latin America, where he founded the Biotechnology Area while working closely with Brazil’s Ministry of Science and Technology and the Brazilian National Development Bank. Prior to working with Braskem, Dr. Slovic was responsible for scaling technologies to produce advanced biofuels from sugarcane in Brazil at Amyris, where he built the first team to develop GMO micro-organisms for renewable chemicals in Latin America. He is named on 17 patents, holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University.
