Focus on LGBT for Substance Abuse Program in This Week's Interview

Carlsbad, CA, May 20, 2015 --(PR.com)-- In light of the conversations about Bruce Jenner and his announcement about his sexual preference as well as the news of many states voting for and against gay marriage, Denise Krochta, host of the popular radio show "Addicted to Addicts: Survival 101" on webtalk radio this week interviews a group from a unique non-profit program in San Diego, CA about the value of an LGBT focused Substance Abuse Treatment Center in a community. There is much stigma surrounding addiction and much stigma still surrounding sexual preferences. The show unveils the many issues that the LGBT community is faced with in general, as well as in seeking treatment for substance abuse.

Connie Collins, Executive Director of Stepping Stone of San Diego, says, "One of our unique programs is Discovery of Sexual Health in Recovery, a protocol for teaching people how to have healthy sexual lives, a program that Stepping Stones has pioneered."
