Indevia Accounting Becomes a Certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
Indevia Accounting has received its Minority Business Enterprise Certification with Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council.
San Diego, CA, May 16, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Indevia Accounting received its certification as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) with the Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council (PSWMSDC), founder and CEO Dev Purkayastha announced today. Indevia is a leading provider of restaurant accounting services. PSWMSDC is a National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) regional affiliate.
"The Minority Business Enterprise certification is a recognition of Indevia Accounting as a growing MBE. We are excited because the MBE certification allows us to participate in the supplier diversity programs of leading restaurant companies," said Purkayastha.
Purkayastha worked as a Chartered Accountant in India for 8 years. He then immigrated to the United States from India in 1975 to attend Harvard Business School. After graduating, he spent 19 years at Idanta Partners as a Venture Capitalist, where his investments were extremely successful.
After Purkayastha had great difficulty finding an accountant to handle his family interests, he founded Indevia Accounting in 2008. Indevia focuses on restaurant bookkeeping and restaurant accounting for multi-unit restaurant franchisees.
According to NMSDC’s website, the MBE certification opens doors to networking, education, and other opportunities for minority-owned businesses. There are more than 12,000 businesses with an MBE certification.
