New Pet Product Makes It Easy to Control a Distracted Dog While Walking on a Leash
Inventor Janice Paré announces her new product “The Obedient Pup Neck Gaiter Training Aid” that can help stop a dog from disruptive behavior while walking on a leash.
Hernando, FL, May 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Many dog owners are faced at one time or another with their dog getting visually distracted while walking on a lease, causing them to start barking and pulling hard on the leash. Janice Paré, inventor of “The Obedient Pup Neck Gaiter Training Aid” created a patent-pending training aid that helps stop a dog from barking and pulling hard on the leash restoring the dog back to a calm state of mind.
“Some dogs get visually sidetracked when walking on a leash and will start pulling uncontrollably towards other dogs, people or things. The only way to calm these dogs was 'if you could' cover their eyes with your hand or try pushing their head away from the distraction, which was not easy to do,” Janice states.
Janice started working on this problem when she found it hard to control her 95 pound dog while walking around her neighborhood. “There were times when my dog had his mind set to go after a squirrel and he would literally drag me across the street. There was no joy in walking my dog because I never knew when he was going to go crazy again. I really needed to do something,” she stated.
The solution had to be easy; Janice also believed in the theory “Out of sight-Out of mind” and so she designed a neck gaiter that could be used as a pull over dog blinder that would help prevent her dog from seeing the distraction and preventing any bad behavior. After several weeks of testing the product on her own dog, Janice realized she finally had control. Thus “The Obedient Pup Training Aid” was created.
What makes her product so unique is that “The Obedient Pup Training Aid” is used on the dog as a stylish neck gaiter and then can be quickly turned into a pull over dog blinder preventing a visual distraction from riling up the dog. Once the distraction is gone it can be pulled back around the neck. “The Obedient Pup” is made of a soft stretchy polyester/lycra fabric making it so comfortable the dog won’t even know he is wearing a training aid. There’s nothing comparable to it on the market.
Since Janice found it worked so well on her dog and saw other dog owners with similar situations she decided to make it available to all dog owners. She is looking for pet stores interested in carrying her product and is also willing to license the product to interested companies.
