$500 Winner of the Spring Trucker to Trucker Scholarship Has Been Announced.
Culver, IN, May 22, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Carrie McNamee has been awarded the $500 Trucking School Scholarship by Trucker to Trucker LLC. The award will be used to help pay tuition for the Southeastern Illinois College truck driving program with the goal of earning a Class A CDL license.
The program consists of an intensive 6 week instruction period focused on preparing the student with the skills needed to safely operate an 18 wheel tractor with trailer.

After successfully completing the program and earning her Class A license, McNamee will join her husband on the road as a team driver. She will also join her husband as a member of the Trucker Buddy Program, an organization that matches professional drivers with classrooms to teach children about Seatbelt and Highway Safety.
"I want to empower young girls and other women in what has been a predominately male profession the same way I have been empowered by other women and what better way for me to do that then with the firsthand experience that I would receive by being a Professional Truck Driver," says Carrie.
TruckerToTrucker.com offers two $500 scholarships each year to be used towards an accredited truck driving program, as well as a $1000 college scholarship for individuals and family members in the trucking and transportation industry.
