Provo, UT, May 28, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, will close the application period for its 2015 Utah high school graduates scholarship on May 31. This scholarship offers more than $450,000 in tuition to new graduates across Utah by offering a student from each of Utah’s 150+ approved high schools tuition-free enrollment in the Career Step program of their choice.
“A quality education is of invaluable worth,” said Jerolyn Robertson, Career Step Vice President of Academics. “This scholarship program demonstrates our commitment to supporting education, especially for young people, within our community. We are pleased to encourage education that leads to successful careers and help a greater number of people benefit from the life-changing effects of education.”
The 2015 Utah high school scholarship program offers an enrollment in the Career Step program of their choice to a graduate from each of the 152 approved public, charter and alternative high schools throughout the state. A list of approved schools is available at CareerStep.com/utah-scholarship where applicants can also apply by submitting a 200 to 500 word essay on why pursuing additional education after high school is important to them.
“Whether students plan to attend a two- or four-year university or head straight into the workforce after graduation, career-focused education is incredibly valuable,” said Ben Hartman, Career Step Vice President of Enrollments. “At Career Step, we help thousands of people gain skills designed to help them get a job in a fraction of the time and for a fraction of the price of a college degree. We are excited for the opportunities this scholarship program offers to newly graduated students in our home state and hope they will get their application in by the deadline.”
Career Step offers a number of scholarships throughout the year, including the Utah high school scholarship. The four remaining scholarships available in 2015 include: two $2,000 scholarships for mothers returning to school, a $2,000 scholarship for a military service member or spouse, and a $2,000 scholarship for a graduating high school senior from anywhere in the United States.
