Mitch Cohen Promoted to Vice President at New Day Underwriting Managers
Hamilton, NJ, May 28, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Mitch Cohen, P.E. has been promoted to Vice President – Construction Division from Assistant Vice President at New Day Underwriting Managers LLC, a leading specialty intermediary of high-quality environmental and construction-related professional liability insurance coverage. Cohen joined New Day in 2009 and has since worked with the company’s national network of broker partners to secure environmental and construction-related professional liability insurance for contractors, architects, engineers and developers based throughout the United States.

Prior to New Day, Cohen honed his insurance and risk management skills at Aon Environmental Services Group, where he specialized in contractor's pollution and construction-related professional liability coverages. This included the development of a nationally-recognized workshop designed to assist construction firms with mold exposure challenges.
As an accomplished industry instructor, Cohen has also taught numerous sessions across the U.S. on environmental and professional liability risk management. This includes hosting three-day workshops on Environmental Compliance and Auditing for national clients; facilitating "Environmental Risk Management: Identifying Environmental Exposures" training; and presenting continuing education courses for the CPCU Atlanta Chapter on topics like "Environmental Risk Management," "The Expanding Professional Liability Exposure for General Contractors" and "Environmental Risk Management and Mold."
Cohen holds an M.A. in Education from Siegel College in Beachwood, Ohio and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech.
