Monogram Foods Recognized by President Obama's Upskill Initiative for Role in Empowering Workers

Monogram Foods, a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality meat snacks and other food products, announced today that the company has been recognized in the United State Presidents’ Upskilling Initiative which highlighted companies throughout the United States that equip employees, and specifically front line workers, with on-the-job training. Memphis, TN, May 29, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Monogram Foods, a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality meat snacks and other food products, announced today that the company has been recognized in the United State Presidents’ Upskilling Initiative which highlighted companies throughout the United States that equip employees, and specifically front line workers, with on-the-job training. Monogram Foods was one of 94 companies highlighted in this report.

Monogram was recognized for implementing a range of investments in its front line workers that include increased wages and training; adding training and development specialists to its team; and building upon partnerships with community and technical college to provide increased training and certifications for team members.

In addition to its widespread job creation recognition via the Upskilling Initiative, Monogram Foods’ plant in Martinsville, Va. was specifically recognized for job creation by being awarded the Keystone Award for job creation and capital expansion from the Martinsville Henry County Economic Development Commission. Monogram will receive the award for being the number one job creator and capital investor in the region during a special luncheon on June 16 at the Bassett Country Club.
