Autism Aid Expanded to Sacramento and Fresno County Through Local Carlos Vieira Foundation Grant Program
Local charity provides support to families living with autism in Fresno and Sacramento.
Livingston, CA, May 30, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Parents and guardians of children living with autism in Sacramento and Fresno Counties can now apply for grant funding through the Carlos Vieira Foundation. The grant program offers assistance by providing educational tools, medical necessities, electronics, and a wide array of products and services that help a child diagnosed with autism to flourish.
Families living in Merced, Stanislaus, Madera, Mariposa, Tuolumne, San Joaquin, Fresno, and Sacramento Counties that wish to apply for this Direct Help Grant can visit their website at www.carlosvieirafoundation.org to fill out an application. Each child can be granted up to $500 annually towards items or expenses that will improve the quality of life and help a child with an autism spectrum disorder.
When asked why the Foundation expanded to Sacramento and Fresno, Carlos Vieira, founder and President answered, “It was the next step. We already cover all counties from San Joaquin to Madera. Expanding to Fresno and Sacramento means our grant program is growing. Helping families living with autism is our core mission. One day we hope to cover all of California and beyond.”
The Foundation will be exhibiting at the Autism Speaks Walk Now event and fundraiser on May 31, 2015 in Sacramento and the one in October in Modesto where thousands of families can pick up information about the grant offering and speak to a foundation representative about the application process.
Throughout the year the Foundation hosts many fundraisers to fund our grant program to help the community. The Carlos Vieira Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization was founded in 2009 by one car racers dream to help children affected by Autism. For an entire year the Carlos Vieira Race Team donated all winnings and donations collected, to autism affiliated charities before starting their own Foundation. Since then the Foundation has raised and donated money to autism related organizations such as Autism Speaks, Families for Effective Autism Treatment and Challenged Family Resource Center as well as the countless individual families receiving funding through the Direct Help Grant.
