Wild Women Unite Goes National; Sites Popping Up Across US
Yvonne Folck, the "Original Wild Woman" founded Wild Women Unite in 2003 as an avenue for women of all ages to learn about and get comfortable doing more outdoor activities. Since relocating from Buffalo to Florida, she hit the ground running and now is overseeing sites from New York to Texas with plans to reach Arizona and California by mid-next year.
Crystal River, FL, June 02, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Wild Women Unite started with the idea of one woman who was raised wild and to this day holds the title of largest King salmon caught at a lodge she operated in Alaska. In 2003, Yvonne Folck held her first Wild Women Unite weekend for 168 participants in Sandy Creek, NY.
Earlier this year, she and her family moved to Crystal River Florida; and in no time flat she's resurfaced with a bouquet of new locations to host a Wild Women Unite weekend.
Ms. Folck turned her original location over to Suzanne Perry, founder of "Love Shouldn't Hurt.TV," and made it the designated national charity partner. Love Shouldn't Hurt.TV raises awareness and provides support to men and women impacted by domestic violence.
Ms. Perry was appointed National Public Relations and Media Director and is responsible for all media relations, marketing, site development and web content.
Ms. Annette Snedaker has been appointed the National Director of Business Development. She will cultivate strategic partnerships for the brand, pursue sponsorship opportunities and business partnering.
Ms. Folck has confirmed new sites to host a Wild Women Unite weekend; in her new hometown, Crystal River, in Birmingham Alabama, Bastrop, Texas, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
Ms. Denise Bradley was named Site Director for Wild Women Unite in Bastrop, Texas taking place in Bastrop State Park September 18-19, 2015. Her location will feature Primitive hunting, zip line and high elements, Dutch oven cooking, Nature Meditation and more, with an additional opportunity to 'cruise the Colorado River' in rafts on Sunday.
Ms. Perry was named Site Director for New York, which this year is in Grand Island, October 2-3, 2015 and features her "Happy Camp," Zentangle, Chain of Defense (Krav Maga theory based self-defense), gun shooting basics, horseback riding, kayaking, drum circle among others. Plans are in development to add Long Island, New York for 2016.
Ms. Folck is Site Director for Crystal River, taking place January 8-9, 2016 and will feature swimming with the manatee in addition to wild edibles and foraging, photography, walking in nature, geocache and many more.
Forthcoming sites are unconfirmed locations in California and Arizona.
Ms. Folck and Ms. Perry, along with Hot Jam Media's 'CameraDude' (Scottie O'Dell) will travel to present, participate and capture footage at each of the locations.
