Cedar Hill ISD Honors Texas Trust Credit Union with Community Partner Award
Arlington, TX, June 02, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Texas Trust Credit Union has been named Community Partner of the Year by Cedar Hill Independent School District. Superintendent Orlando Riddick presented the award to Texas Trust at the schools' annual Educator Awards Ceremony on May 26.
Texas Trust received the inaugural Community Partner award for its in-kind and monetary contributions over the past six years, which have exceeded $200,000.
Texas Trust’s Spirit Debit Reward card has been a key fund raising tool, generating nearly $160,000 for Cedar Hill ISD. The school district has used the money to purchase materials for teachers and students and for support of various student programs and teacher events.
Texas Trust is actively involved throughout the school district, providing staff resources and programs for convocation, back to school rallies, student registration, open houses, new teacher orientation, teacher appreciation lunches, elementary carnivals, and financial education workshops for students and parents.
"Our partnership with Texas Trust not only provides the district with the ability to raise money through the Spirit Debit Reward card, it also helps strengthen the support for CHISD in the Cedar Hill community," said Orlando Riddick, CHISD Superintendent.
"This award is our way to honor Texas Trust for the work they do, from connecting our students with real-world learning opportunities to sponsoring our back to school convocation," said Riddick. "Texas Trust is truly a partner in education and we are thankful for their commitment to Cedar Hill ISD."
Jim Minge, CEO of Texas Trust Credit Union accepted the award for the credit union.
