Mims Distributing Company Joins Leinenkugel’s Third Annual Canoes for a Cause Event June 13
North Carolina Beer and Wine Distributor Partners with Brewer and Keep North Carolina Beautiful to Clean and Preserve Lake Johnson.
Raleigh, NC, June 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Mims Distributing Company, a North Carolina wholesale beverage distributor, announced that the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company’s Canoes for a Cause campaign will hold its third annual North Carolina event on Saturday, June 13 from 10 a.m. to noon at Lake Johnson in Wake County. This year Leinenkugel and Mims Distributing have partnered with Keep North Carolina Beautiful, a grassroots organization assisting communities with active beautification and anti-litter programs, to host the volunteer litter cleanup event.
The Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company’s Canoes for a Cause supports local water stewardship efforts and demonstrates the brewery’s passion for water quality. The main ingredient for beer is water, leading breweries like Leinenkugel to rely on local water sources for production efforts. This need is one of the driving forces behind the brewery’s initiative to maintain clean waterways and resources. Previous events have been hosted in Chicago, Denver, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Madison, Wisconsin and Cleveland. Following the cleanup, there will be a volunteer appreciation party with Leinenkugel beers and raffle prizes.
Mims Distributing emphasizes clean, safe waterways as beer and wine production relies heavily on water. This partnership with Leinenkugel is one of many ways Mims reinforces its mission to preserve the state’s natural resources.
